XML/ASML Web Authoring Technology

Current Web design languages, such as HTML, are not well suited to delivering content and format in a meaningful manner. XML advances the process of content creation by allowing authors to create content in a logical manner using notation that actually describes the content itself. ASML then can be used to convert the result into a language that can be read and displayed by current Web browsers. The METLAB is currently researching ways to make this creation process faster and easier, allowing the user to create a web site without the pain of complex coding.
